 23 March: Spring statement from the Chancellor

31 March: Depending on payroll dates, effectively the last date for paying bonuses before increase in employers and employees NIC applies

31 March: Deadline for preparing for new Plastic Packaging Tax

31 March: VAT rate on hospitality rises back to 20%

5 April: Deadline for using a number of personal tax reliefs that cannot be carried forward

5 April: Deadline for paying dividends before income tax rate increase

5 April: Last date to register to payroll benefits in kind for 2022–23
